The Baking & Pastry Pathway provides students with in-depth, hands-on experiences designed to familiarize them with the basics of food preparation, nutrition, and consumer skills. Baking & Pastry is a two year pathway, which includes an introductory class and an Honors class designed to perfect baking and pastry techniques, teach quantity food preparation, and meet industry standards through internships. Students in this Pathway may also participate in CCAP (Careers Through Culinary Arts Program). This pathway gives students the opportunity to get guidance, coursework and work-based learning experiences used in the field today, providing them with a head start in their culinary careers.
Career Pathways help students explore their talents and use their experiences in the classroom to select career paths that they’re passionate about.
