The Health Science Academy is a three-year elective program designed to give students who are interested in the medical field an opportunity to gain specialized knowledge and training while in high school. Students will have the opportunity to work with industry professionals including doctors, nurses, scientists, and lab technicians. The academy prepares students for an entry- level position in the medical/health science field while encouraging them to explore the different areas of medicine. This integrated, immersive, and work-based learning gives students a hands-on experience with practices used in the medical field today.
